About The Position

Voyago is hiring a Full-Time Patient Transfer Attendant AEMCA (Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant) to fill an existing position for our Kitchener region. You are a highly trained healthcare professional responsible for providing immediate medical care and emergency response at events. You will be stationed on-site to handle any medical emergencies, injuries, or health-related issues that may arise, ensuring the safety and well-being of attendees. You will be well equipped to assess situations quickly, administer first aid, and coordinate with emergency services if needed, maintaining a calm and professional presence in high-pressure situations. You are responsible for the safety and emergency response for all individuals who come into your care. You will deliver exceptional customer service and be prepared to step in as needed, demonstrating your expertise and professionalism to those around you.

Requirements

  • AEMCA, or A-EMCA pending as of 2025
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent
  • Valid G class driving license
  • Ability to remain calm in an emergency situation
  • Ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner.
  • Effective communication in both verbal and written English.
  • Safe driver with a clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector
  • Up to date immunization records (MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) valid within last 12 months)

  • Work 8hrs floating day shifts Monday- Friday
