Additionally, the role may involve scheduling appointments, providing patient education on preparations and procedures, and managing visit closures. A key aspect of the role is creating a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service, greeting patients, answering phones, and assisting with various patient needs such as transportation and interpreter services. Responsibilities may also include scanning documents, managing faxes and in-basket messages, and working electronic health record queues. The position may also support department leadership with training and orientation.
