About The Position
The City of Sioux Falls Health Department is accepting applications for a part-time Patient Support Technician for Falls Community Health. This position is a maximum of 28 hours per week, M-F, based on the clinic needs. The City of Sioux Falls Health Department is seeking part-time Patient Support Technicians to provide customer service to patients.
Requirements
- Experience with customer service duties at the front desk in a health clinic environment.
- Familiarity with an EMR system.
Responsibilities
- Schedule, confirm, and register patients for clinic appointments, both in person and over the phone.
- Verify financial eligibility and third-party coverage.
- Collect payments and answer questions regarding billing.
- Work closely with clinical teams as directed.
- Scan and maintain patient medical records.
- Arrange patient transportation and coordinate access to care and disease prevention.
