About The Position

The Patient Support Nurse (CMA/LPN) will work 80 hours per pay period in the Clinic department, with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This non-exempt position involves rooming patients, administering injections, handling phone communication, providing patient education, taking vital signs, documenting in charts, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and managing supplies. The role may also include assisting providers with procedures and treatments.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse program
• Certified by the American Association of Medical Assistants or obtain an unrestricted Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse license
• Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively and professionally with clients of all ages, co-workers, practitioners and administration
• Professional telephone etiquette
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work well within a team
• Good organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Good time management skills
• Computer skills and knowledge of EMR

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinic nursing experience preferred
