About The Position

The Patient Sitter provides close observation and companionship to patients who require continuous monitoring for safety reasons, including patients at risk of falls, confusion, or self-harm. Working under the supervision of nursing staff, the Patient Sitter helps maintain a safe patient environment, promptly reports changes in patient behavior or condition, and preserves patient dignity and privacy. The role supports the healthcare team and patient care outcomes.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Illinois.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide close observation and companionship to patients requiring continuous safety monitoring.
