About The Position

Under direct supervision and according to established procedures, the Patient Sitter observes and monitors assigned patients’ behavior. The role provides safety interventions and basic self-care assistance as needed, with attention to patients’ behavioral needs. The Patient Sitter accompanies patients to clinical studies, documents pertinent observation data, and notifies appropriate nursing personnel when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a formal CPR course is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Observe and monitor assigned patients’ behavior.
• Provide safety interventions and basic self-care assistance as needed.
• Attend to patients’ behavioral needs.
• Accompany patients for clinical studies.
