About The Position
The Patient Sitter - Emergency Department position is responsible for sitting with and observing patients in the Emergency Department to promote safety and prevent injuries. This role assists the Registered Nurse with non-nursing tasks within the scope of training and experience.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Sit with and observe the patient and his/her surrounding environment to promote safety and prevent possible injuries.
- Assist the Registered Nurse in non-nursing tasks within the scope of training and experience.
