We are currently searching for a Part Time Patient Services Specialist to work with our OrthoCarolina team. The schedule for this position is Saturday and Sunday 10am-2pm. The Patient Services Specialist greets patients, prepares forms, collects, verifies and enters patient information into EPIC necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of insurance
- High school graduate and/or associate or bachelor's degree

- Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Nice To Haves
- Epic/EMR background a plus
- Minimum of one year experience in medical clinic setting
Responsibilities
- Greets patients
- Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit
- Makes appointments
- Performs Cashier duties as directed including posting of charges, Collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due
- Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested
- Collects, verifies and enters patient information into EPIC necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims
