This is a full-time, remote position requiring the employee to be within a 2-hour commute to UW Tower. The role focuses on scheduling patients, ensuring patient safety, and reducing medical errors. The specialist will also manage Epic orders and referrals, maintain a professional work area, and participate in process improvement projects to enhance workflow efficiency and throughput. They will act as a subject matter expert for their scheduling modality, troubleshoot Epic errors, and assist in training new staff. Collaboration with the team lead and supervisor is key for operational goals, monitoring schedule templates, analyzing reports (No Show, Cancellation, Wait list, Online Scheduling), and implementing solutions for workflow inefficiencies. A patient-first mentality is essential in responding to patient needs and concerns.
