About The Position

The Patient Services Specialist serves as a point of connection for patients calling the office. The role provides a kind, helpful, and professional phone experience by assisting patients with appointment scheduling, connecting them with a nurse, or directing billing questions to the billing department. The specialist gathers information about patients, insurance, and their situation, then helps match patients with a referred provider or the first available provider for their needs. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., based on the second floor of the West Des Moines office. After training and meeting position metrics, the role may offer a hybrid schedule with work from home and in-office time.
