The General Internal Medicine Center at UW Medical Center - Roosevelt has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 2. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive primary care for adult patients, including preventive medicine services, assessment and treatment of acute medical problems, and monitoring and treatment of chronic diseases. The center is a dynamic teaching clinic focused on patient-centered care grounded in the best available medical evidence. Mental healthcare professionals within the center also provide a range of services including psychiatric consultations, medication management, and recommendations for continued psychiatric care. Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR An equivalent combination of education/experience

Responsibilities

  • Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging
  • Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments
  • Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information
  • Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
