Performs a variety of front desk functions in a medical office to include registering patients, making appointments, and processing patient payments. This role involves managing patient flow, communicating with patients and back office staff, scheduling appointments, assisting with insurance questions, and making financial arrangements. The position also includes office operations such as answering phones, preparing daily reports and deposits, checking patient accounts for outstanding balances, verifying fee tickets, and pulling charts. Participation in quality improvement activities and patient communications is also expected.
