About The Position
UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Patient Services Representative to support the offices in Bethel Park and Peters Township. Weekend and evening availability required to support the hours of operation.
Requirements
- Completion of high school or equivalent.
- Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with personal computer-based applications, various office equipment, and proficient typing skills.
- Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information.
- Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to services.
- Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions.
- Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal.
- Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources.
- Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations.
- Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties.
