About The Position
Join our medical group as a Patient Services Rep (PSR) in the Tulsa, OK area. This is a multi-faceted position consisting of customer service, insurance verification, registration, payment collection, data entry, and referrals. The role is responsible for ensuring patient flow, medical record availability and completeness, scheduling physician/provider appointments, and maintenance of physician appointment schedules. The individual will receive and greet patients and visitors, ascertain their needs and assist them in a timely and courteous manner. They will also answer the telephone promptly in a customer-friendly manner, collect and verify accurate patient information and enter it into the registration system, and receive payment for services and correctly complete charge slips for data entry. The position requires commitment to being a team player by performing all duties as required or assigned to provide quality patient care. The individual will also have responsibility to uphold the policies and procedures of Hillcrest Healthcare System.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic understanding of insurance, referrals and medical record
Nice To Haves
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous medical office experience
