About The Position
WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A PATIENT SERVICES LIAISON TO JOIN OUR RAPIDLY GROWING TEAM AT WESTCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER! OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS THE ABILITY TO BUILD RAPPORT WITH PATIENTS, HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS, AND INSURANCE COMPANIES IN A COMPASSIONATE AND EFFICIENT MANNER OVER THE PHONE. THE PERFECT CANDIDATE ENJOYS COLLABORATING WITH A TEAM OF PASSIONATE INDIVIDUALS IN A DYNAMIC OFFICE ENVIRONMENT AND LOVES LEARNING NEW THINGS IN A FAST-PACED, EVER-EVOLVING COMPANY.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year customer service or related experience in a medical environment
- Familiarity with insurance verifications and authorizations
- Ability to work alongside team members in a high call volume setting
- Detail-oriented
- Computer savvy: Individual with proven software proficiency in software programs such as Excel.
- Personable, warm, empathetic, and professional in communication style over the phone
- Ability to learn new things and apply them in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service over the phone
- Coordination of ambulance transportation for multiple facilities
- Obtain insurance information, verifications & authorizations
- Utilize a CAD system
- Basic data entry
- Scan/upload documentations onto CAD system
