About The Position

At OSMC our Patient Services Department is the frontline connection for our patients and their families to efficiently have their needs met and promptly access the high-quality orthopedic care that we provide. OSMC is looking for a candidate who understands the importance of dependability, reliability while providing outstanding customer service to our patients in a calm, courteous, and friendly demeanor. The ideal person will be able to work independently and as a team member working toward the same common goals. The ideal candidate will also have strong organizational skills, problem solving ability, time management, and be comfortable multi-tasking. As a Patient Services Float, you will connect with patients during several stages of their clinic visit, including check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling. Requirements

  • Understanding and knowledge of all Microsoft Office and TEAMS programs.
  • Familiarity with general office equipment such as telephone, computer, and fax machine.
  • Prior experience navigating electronic health records.
  • Understanding of HIPPA compliancy.
  • High school graduate or equivalent GED.

  • Past job-related experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with patients during several stages of their clinic visit, including check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to patients in a calm, courteous, and friendly demeanor.
  • Work independently and as a team member.
  • Complete and accurate data entry.
  • Handle medical scheduling.
  • Address patient account inquiries.
