Patient Services Associate II - Patient Service Center - New Jersey - Full-Time Days
About The Position
The Patient Services Associate (PSA) II enhances the patient and customer experience by courteously and professionally processing arrival and departure activities associated with visits to the practice or department. The role obtains pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures and verifies insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information. The PSA II supports delivery of the Jefferson Experience by emphasizing prompt and courteous treatment of patients and visitors and maintaining an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms. The position is a regular, full-time role on the Workday Day shift at Kennedy Medical Group, Practice, PC, located at 101 Woodcrest, Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The hourly salary range is $17.00 to $21.89; the actual hiring rate depends on candidate experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is not eligible for an annual incentive.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
- Willingness to provide and support a positive Jefferson Experience for patients and/or visitors.
- Ability to process and interpret data.
- Ability to multitask while managing a time-sensitive workload.
Responsibilities
- Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Process patient check-in and/or check-out, point-of-service activities, and/or appointment scheduling via EPIC.
- Obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures.
- Maintain efficient practice flow and escalate patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
- Greet and interact with patients and visitors professionally, by phone or in person.
- Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
