About The Position

Dignity Health is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for their Outpatient Center. This is a full-time Front Desk Receptionist position with flexible hours between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday. The pay range is $18-20 hourly, depending on experience. The role is located at 7399 S Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89139 (South Jones).

Requirements

HS diploma or GED is required
Customer service experience required
Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift
Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key) throughout a work day/shift
Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics
Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs
Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction
Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of insurance verification preferred
Healthcare, Medical, Dental office administration preferred

Responsibilities

Greets patients with exceptional customer service to create a positive patient experience
Answers phone
Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients
Insurance verifications, referrals and pre-authorizations
Schedules patients appointments and checks them in at arrival
Collection of co-pays
Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
Patient intake and data entry to ensure proper billing
Complete daily billing reports and work with central billing office (CBO)
Communication and teamwork with clinic staff as well as all supporting departments to create an enjoyable, seamless experience
Other duties as assigned
