About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Patient Service Specialist - Float to cover areas including North Dallas, Hwy 75 and 635. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 7 PM, and the candidate must be flexible to open or close if needed. This is a full-time position. Compensation depends upon the candidate’s years of experience and internal equity, with a starting salary of $18 - $25 per hour based on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be organized, adaptable, and able to work well with others or independently
• Required to travel to other locations as needed
• Provide outstanding customer service

Responsibilities

• Process referrals
• Schedule patients
• Complete the intake process
• Data entry
• Insurance verification
• Obtain authorizations
• Review benefits with patients
• Collect copays
• Arrive and schedule patients
• Generate billing reports
• Generate closing reports
• Perform other tasks as needed
• Greet patients
• Answer phones
• Operate the front office of outpatient centers
• Support therapists and therapy assistants
• Perform daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
