The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is responsible for greeting patients and visitors, answering the telephone, registering patients, collecting co-pays and balances, scheduling appointments, and providing patients with necessary information regarding their visits. This role ensures accurate patient and insurance information is obtained and updated, and resolves registration issues. The PSR also monitors patient flow, assists patients with various needs, and performs visit closure tasks such as scheduling follow-up appointments and providing visit summaries. May also be responsible for filing and retrieving patient records and completing required documentation.
