The role requires knowledge of compliance regulations such as HIPAA, EMTALA, and others, and obtaining necessary signatures. Responsibilities may include scheduling appointments, coordinating cancellations, and providing detailed information to patients about preparations and procedures. The position also focuses on creating a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service, answering phones, and assisting patients with various needs like transportation and interpreter services. Monitoring and working electronic health record work queues is also a key duty.
