About The Position

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for patient registration, collecting service charges, reconciling daily finances, answering phones, taking messages, and scheduling appointments. This role requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, verify patient insurance, operate office equipment, and travel to other clinics as needed. The representative must adhere to Waco Family Medicine policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year's customer service experience required
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Visual and auditory accuracy
  • Ability to use multi-line phone system
  • Ability to operate office equipment (fax, printer, scanner)
  • Ability to travel to other clinics to cover shifts as required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Detail oriented and Patient focused

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Patient registration
