About The Position

The Patient Service Representative is an integral part of the healthcare team. The role is responsible for reception duties, medical records, referrals, pre-authorizations, and scheduling. The representative works closely with the healthcare team, KVH personnel, and external customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of general administrative/clerical or customer service experience.
• Current computer experience at a medium to expert level with Microsoft products.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous cash-handling experience.

Nice To Haves

• Some college coursework.
• Bilingual.
• Previous medical office experience, including exposure to medical records, insurance verification and pre-authorization fundamentals, scheduling, and/or high-volume phone systems.
• Certified Professional Coder certification from The American Academy of Professional Coders.
• Certified Billing and Coding Specialist certification from the National Healthcareer Association.
• Certified Medical Administrative Assistant certification from the National Healthcareer Association.

Responsibilities
