About The Position
This role is for a Patient Service Representative in a clinic setting, specifically for Float Staffing within Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Group Clinics in Murfreesboro, TN. The position is PRN (as needed) and operates on a day schedule. The representative will be responsible for championing the patient experience, navigating the care journey, providing financial clarity, and ensuring accuracy and flow within the clinic operations.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional welcome for every visitor, guiding them through the check-in/out process and ensuring their records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Proactively manage schedules, confirm appointments, and handle medical record requests to keep our clinical team and patients perfectly in sync.
- Assist patients by verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications ahead of time, then help them navigate co-payments and billing questions with transparency and empathy.
- Submit daily service charges, reconcile deposits, and provide essential clerical support that keeps the environment organized and welcoming.
