CLS Health is a growing, physician-led healthcare system in Houston, Texas, focused on holistic, multispecialty care. The organization is seeking a professional and courteous Patient Service Representative I to serve as the first point of contact for patients. The role provides customer service, coordinates patients’ financial responsibilities, and helps ensure a positive experience when patients visit the facility.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
Must speak Spanish.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a medical office or customer service environment.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and personal information.
Collect co-pays and other fees from patients at the time of service.
Ensure referrals are in the patient's chart before the patient arrives.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Count the cash box and complete cash reconciliation forms; after closing, sign off on the EBO report and cash reconciliation.
Handle patient complaints and resolve issues professionally.
Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
