About The Position
Esse Health is seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative to manage medication Prior Authorizations for their South County Internal Medicine office. This role is crucial in supporting patient care by ensuring necessary medications are approved by insurance companies. The position is based in an outpatient clinical practice setting.
Requirements
- Knowledge of general diagnoses and medications.
- Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 or more years of experience working in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology,
- EMR/EHR experience.
- PC/Windows proficiency.
- Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
Responsibilities
- Complete medication Prior Authorizations
- Cover "My Meds" medication software
- Review chart note and records/diagnosis and provide appropriate supporting documentation to insurance companies
- Document in the EMR system (NextGen)
