Additionally, the role involves understanding and ensuring compliance with various government regulations and healthcare acts such as HIPAA, EMTALA, and others. Responsibilities may include scheduling patient appointments, providing detailed information about test preparations and procedures, and creating a welcoming environment through excellent customer service. The representative will also manage electronic health record work queues and may be involved in CPR certification or Notary training depending on the service location.
