About The Position

This role is for a Patient Service Representative at Howell Allen Neurosurgery in Nashville, TN. The position is full-time, working days. Financial clarity will be provided by verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications, and assisting with co-payments and billing questions. The role also involves ensuring accuracy and flow by submitting daily service charges, reconciling deposits, and providing essential clerical support.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, professional welcome for every visitor, guiding them through the check-in/out process and ensuring their records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Proactively manage schedules, confirm appointments, and handle medical record requests.
• Assist patients by verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications ahead of time, then help them navigate co-payments and billing questions with transparency and empathy.
• Submit daily service charges, reconcile deposits, and provide essential clerical support.
