Patient Service Representative - Float. PSR Float provides "fill-in" coverage at all 23 clinics. Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS) is looking for a Patient Service Representative - Float. Requirements

  • Minimum High School graduation or equivalent AND three years of experience in an appropriately related position OR Equivalent education/experience

Responsibilities

  • Process all activity related to OSS’s patient services.
  • Patient service functions include patient phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow-up, maintaining charts, filing, and communication with referral sources.
  • Perform other daily operational functions associated with the front desk position.
  • Manage all Aspects of High-Volume Patient Scheduling: Receive incoming patient phone calls.
  • Collect necessary information from patients for treatment and billing purposes.
  • Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations if required.
  • Fax appropriate paperwork to referral sources.
  • Scan documents into the patient's account.
  • Build and maintain all patient charts.
  • Collect any money owed from patients, balance all money nightly, and print reports.
  • Pull charts for the next day's appointments and make reminder calls
  • Communicate with OSS staff through Outlook email.
  • Communicate closely with billing and treating staff to resolve any patient issues.
  • Open and sort mail daily.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Participate in educational activities and attend monthly staff meetings.
