About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a Patient Service Manager to lead the Patient Services Team in an acute care setting. The manager establishes patient food service goals based on medical direction and the patient population, and leads the team to provide meals that meet patient needs, dietary requirements, and satisfaction goals. The position also supports regulatory compliance, patient rights, confidentiality, and facility quality improvement programs.

Requirements

• An associate degree and one year of work experience in food services or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in food service technology, management, or a related field.
• Possess skills to effectively use Microsoft Office applications, an electronic medical record, and diet office systems.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Dietary Manager certificate, Registered Diet Technician credential, or Registered Dietitian credential.
• At least one year of food service management experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• ServSafe certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Establish goals and oversee implementation of patient food service needs based on medical direction and the patient population.
• Hire, direct, coach, train, and develop patient service team members.
• Ensure special and modified diets comply with dietary restrictions while meeting food preferences within the limitations of diet orders.
• Ensure patient services staff work toward stated patient satisfaction goals.
• Comply with regulatory standards and facility confidentiality, HIPAA, and patient rights policies.
• Participate in or lead patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
