About The Position

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, the Patient Service Associate performs routine personal care duties for residents or patients and PSA-specific skills. The role maintains a safe environment and reports any problems. The associate may also act as a preceptor during the orientation of new CNAs or PSAs.

The position is in the Medical/Surgical department at Warren Memorial Hospital and is a regular, full-time role with a rotating work shift. The stated pay range is $18.96–$25.59.

Requirements

• Successfully complete a PSA program.
• Complete PSA training and demonstrate proficiency in laboratory and cardiopulmonary skills within five months of accepting the PSA position.
• Understand the basic principles of human growth and development.
• Be competent to interact successfully with patients according to their special needs, including needs related to the patient's age.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification is required.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) for the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (HCP) is required.
• New hires must have the appropriate American Heart Association certification before completing orientation.
