About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Scheduler to join their MCVI Records and Scheduling team. This is a full-time position with working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves scheduling patient appointments for surgical, diagnostic therapy, and other procedures/treatments. Responsibilities include obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance information, registering patients, entering data into scheduling systems, maintaining records and accounts, and providing professional customer service. The Patient Scheduler will also serve patients by greeting and assisting them, and will lead and train other schedulers, acting as a resource.

Requirements

  • High School, Certificate of completion, GED, Training, Experience
  • Experience in Healthcare and/or Customer Service setting
  • Surgery preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Scheduling Systems (i.e. Net Access, Centricity, Pathways Healthcare Scheduling, Chartlinks etc.)
  • Medical Terminology required
  • Experience with high volume calls
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Minimum Required Experience: 5 Years
