About The Position

The Patient Safety Attendant (Sitter) works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and provides a safe environment as an alternative to restraints. The attendant sits with and observes an assigned patient, providing constant, alert observation. The role protects patients from harm to themselves, harm to others, harm from others, and flight risk. Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
BLS certification required within one week of the start date.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Verbal and written communication skills.

Able to adapt to unpredictable situations.
Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Patient care or healthcare-related field experience preferred; on-the-job training is provided.
