About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a positive experience while supporting patient registration, insurance verification, and front office operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a healthcare, medical office, patient access, registration, or customer service environment preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

Greet, check in, and register patients in a professional and courteous manner.
Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and identification.
Verify patient and visitor identities through appropriate documentation and photo ID.
Educate patients on required consent forms and admissions paperwork.
Determine patient financial responsibility, including self-pay options, and connect individuals with available financial assistance resources when needed.
Verify insurance coverage and ensure accurate documentation within the system.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls while providing exceptional customer service.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient patient flow and operations.
