About The Position

The Patient Registration Coordinator is the first point of customer service for patients and visitors entering the dental office. This role creates a welcoming patient experience, supports patients, staff, and doctors, and serves as a bridge between the front and back of the office. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday at Family Smiles Commerce.

Requirements

Dental experience is required.
Excellent customer service skills to help ensure patients' dental needs are met.
Ability to prioritize and address multiple demands concurrently.
Ability to communicate effectively with the clinical team, patients, responsible parties, and other staff.
Ability to work within a team for the good of the patient.
Ability to think on your feet and find solutions to varied issues.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet patients upon arrival.
Obtain insurance information, review it for accuracy, and route it to the appropriate staff member.
Provide patients with paperwork appropriate to their needs, answer routine questions, and review completed paperwork for accuracy.
Update patient status in the computer according to established guidelines.
Verify insurance and frequencies when needed.
Assist with attaching payments, sending claims, and checking billable X-rays.
Clean and maintain the front office area and lobby.
Perform other duties as assigned.
