Requirements

Previous experience with patient scheduling and order entry in a high volume, fast-paced environment is required.
Knowledge of and/or completion of a medical terminology course.
Proficient computer skills.
Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent public relations and communication skills with a pleasant telephone manner.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of the team.
Evidence of good attention to detail.
Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard.

Nice To Haves

Meditech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform patient registration duties.
Schedule patient appointments.
Enter orders into the system.
Maintain a pleasant telephone manner.
Troubleshoot and problem-solve registration-related issues.
Collaborate effectively as a member of the team.
Ensure a healthy and safe workplace for self and others by taking reasonable precautions and complying with hospital policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
Complete relevant mandatory education as required.
