About The Position

Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley as a Patient Registrar. In this role, you will navigate through our EMR to register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, obtain demographic details, insurance information and verification. You will ensure proper scheduling, record patient history and obtain pre-certification and authorization. Feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. This is a Part time Monday-Wednesday 24-hour work week. Must be flexible with variable hours from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Locations: • 1985 Crompond Road, Bldg E, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567 • 35 South Riverside Avenue, Suite 106, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520 • 1756 Route 9D, Cold Spring, NY 10516 Must be willing to travel/provide coverage across various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations listed above as needed. Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of clerical experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • Effective communication skills verbal and written
  • Superior Customer Service skills
  • Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first
  • Must be detailed oriented, able to problem solve and work independently
  • Must live within a commutable distance to NYP

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology
  • Experience working in a busy out-patient practice
  • Orthopedics or Radiology experience
  • Knowledge of Coding: ICD 10, CPT-4, health insurance benefits/requirements
  • EMR experience/EPIC
