The Patient Operations Assistant supports the daily flow and coordination of patient care activities on the Eye Floor at Massachusetts Eye and Ear. This role serves as a central point of communication, ensuring efficient patient throughput, accurate documentation, and seamless collaboration between clinical staff, providers, and support services. Responsibilities include coordinating patient movement throughout the perioperative or procedural area, maintaining real-time updates within the electronic health record, preparing and organizing patient care areas, and supporting administrative and operational needs of the unit. The Patient Operations Assistant plays a key role in enhancing patient experience, maintaining a safe and organized environment, and supporting high-quality, efficient care delivery. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining professionalism and strong communication with both patients and care teams.
