About The Position
The Patient Observer displays a respectful, empathetic, and caring attitude toward patients and families while maintaining patient confidentiality. The role involves observing patients for signs, symptoms, or behavioral changes that require immediate RN attention and collaborating with the RN on pertinent aspects of the care the observer is expected to perform. This is a part-time evening position.
Requirements
- Demonstrate the maturity to maintain confidentiality and comport oneself professionally, with sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
- Have excellent observation skills.
Responsibilities
- Display a respectful, empathetic, and caring attitude toward patients and families.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Identify signs, symptoms, or behavioral changes that require the immediate attention of the RN.
- Collaborate with the RN on pertinent aspects of the care the observer is expected to perform.
