About The Position

Responsible for patient meal service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, special requests and needs, and in-between-meal food delivery. Communicates patient food issues, concerns, and needs to department team members, and interacts with nursing employees regarding patient nutrition needs or requirements. Responds accurately and effectively to changes to support efficient service timing and ensure accuracy of physician-ordered modified diets.

Requirements

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Six months of previous food service experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• No licenses or certifications required.
