About The Position

The Patient Greeter provides front-desk support in a busy medical pavilion and serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and vendors. This role focuses on creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient entry experience by supporting check-in, wayfinding, and basic administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the facility.

Requirements

2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar front-desk role in a healthcare setting.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, visitors, and staff.
Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume foot traffic and phone calls while maintaining accuracy and composure.
Ability to enter and update information accurately in electronic systems.
Understanding of patient confidentiality requirements and HIPAA compliance.
High school diploma (H.S. Diploma) required.
Clerical and front-desk experience in a healthcare or medical environment.

Responsibilities

Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner.
Check patients into the building and verify basic registration or appointment information as needed.
Provide clear directions and general information to help patients locate departments, offices, or services within the medical pavilion.
Manage high-volume foot traffic and phone inquiries while maintaining excellent customer service at all times.
Enter and update visitor or patient information accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) and other electronic systems, as required.
Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to support smooth patient flow throughout the facility.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and all facility policies and procedures.
Monitor the front desk and waiting areas to help ensure a safe, organized, and clean environment for patients and visitors.
Support general front-desk and clerical tasks as assigned, such as filing, data entry, and handling routine inquiries.
