About The Position

Responsible for coordinating all consult, admission, transfer and/or pre-op activities. Responsible for traffic control of new patients to the facility by facilitating communication between providers. Additional duties may include (not limited to): Ensure that the team and call schedules are coordinated and communicated to all appropriate parties Coordinate weekend assignments and admission order Answer patient call line assisting patients and families with post discharge needs Assign new business to appropriate teams from overnight business and add assigned teams in Cerner Calculate daily census.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience working in an admitting, bed management, patient placement/throughput setting, including demographic and financial requirements of payers preferred.
• Requires the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with business partners.
• Requires strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of staff; including physicians, hospital administration, patients, and nursing staff in a professional manner.
