About The Position

Cottage Health seeks a Patient Financial Advocate for the CH Single Billing Office department. The role supports patients and leadership by responding to patients’ questions and concerns about billing and insurance, including coordination of benefits.

Requirements

• Basic skills in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Keyboard/typing speed of 35 words per minute.
• At least 2 years of medical billing and/or patient registration experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, ICD-10 coding, and CPT coding.
• EPIC experience.
• Seven years in a hospital environment with extensive knowledge of billing and registration systems, including insurance carriers, contracts, and types of medical coverage.
