About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Patient Experience Manager 2 to join our food team at HMH JFK University Medical Center and Palisades Medical Center located in Edison and North Bergen, New Jersey. JFK University Medical Center is a 499 bed non-profit, acute care hospital. It is a member of the Hackensack Meridian Health system and operates as a teaching hospital for complex neurological and rehabilitation care. Palisades Medical Center is a non-profit hospital with a capacity of 197 beds. It also operates a separate 245-bed nursing home and rehabilitation center on its campus. The ideal candidate will have experience driving patient satisfaction in a large healthcare organization. The role will include patient rounding, quality assurance activities, host/hostess development/management, and driving an exceptional dining experience for their patients for 2 locations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Rounding with existing patients, families, and Nursing personnel
  • Collaboration with hospital clinical and administrative leadership
  • Collecting, organizing, and trending data
  • Communicating findings with both Nutrition Services and interdisciplinary teams
  • Networking with other hospitals to identify best practices
  • Some oversight of the Diet Office and supervision of Diet Office hourly staff & patient services hourly staff
  • Daily patient meal rounding utilizing Service Depot, interacting with patients and nursing staff
  • Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to increase patient satisfaction
  • Ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance
  • Oversee patient tray line to ensure meal accuracy
  • Work closely with the Clinical Nutrition
  • Act as the liaison between the dietitians, nurse managers
  • Work with the other Sodexo Managers with the goal of enhancing the patient experience and dinning experience
  • Regularly analyze patient satisfaction data and implement additional measurements and action plans in these areas to achieve optimal unit performance
