About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Patient Experience Manager 1 to lead daily operations for their food team at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. Christiana Hospital is a 1000 licensed bed acute care Level 1 Trauma Center and a regional leader in advanced medical treatments and patient-centered care. This role is crucial in driving patient satisfaction within a large healthcare organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year experience in Service Recovery role at large hospitality or hospital environment
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations for the food team.
  • Drive patient satisfaction.
  • Conduct patient rounding.
  • Perform quality assurance activities.
  • Develop and manage hosts/hostesses.
  • Drive an exceptional dining experience for patients.
  • Round with existing patients, families, and Nursing personnel.
  • Collaborate with hospital clinical and administrative leadership.
  • Collect, organize, and trend data.
  • Communicate findings with Nutrition Services and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Network with other hospitals to identify best practices.
  • Provide oversight of the Diet Office and supervision of Diet Office hourly staff & patient services hourly staff.
  • Conduct daily patient meal rounding utilizing Service Depot, interacting with patients and nursing staff.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to increase patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance.
  • Oversee patient tray line to ensure meal accuracy.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Nutrition team.
  • Act as the liaison between dietitians and nurse managers.
  • Work with other Sodexo Managers with the goal of enhancing the patient experience and dining experience.
  • Regularly analyze patient satisfaction data and implement additional measurements and action plans to achieve optimal unit performance.
