Patient & Equipment Transporter as-needed (Boise)
About The Position
Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, is hiring an as-needed Patient and Equipment Transporter. The position is responsible for transporting patients within the facility and distributing assigned equipment. The transporter responds to questions and requests from patients and staff, coordinates with the team to dispatch transporters, follows procedures for equipment decontamination, inspection, and delivery, and demonstrates transfer techniques and equipment as needed. This part-time, as-needed role works various days and rotating shifts to provide coverage when team members are sick or on vacation. The position does not offer insurance benefits or paid time off. Daily Pay is available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in customer service and/or patient care is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Respond to questions and requests in a timely manner while providing a high degree of customer service to patients and staff.
- Coordinate with the team to dispatch transporters appropriately.
- Follow established procedures for equipment decontamination, inspection, and delivery, as well as customer service relations.
- Demonstrate transfer techniques and use transfer equipment as needed.
- Transport patients within the facility and distribute assigned equipment.
