FTE: 0.9 Shift: Day Schedule: 12hr shifts, 3 days a week, variable hours Position Summary The Patient Transporter is an incredible opportunity for those looking to expand their role in health care and service to others. This dynamic position provides professional and exceptional care through safe and timely transport of patients, supplies, oxygen, beds and equipment throughout the MultiCare facility. As a Transporter at MultiCare, you will collaborate with the entire nursing staff, hone your decision-making capacities, and enjoy daily variety and problem-solving opportunities.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Current BLS Certification
Successful completion of in-house training program on patient lift and mobility within 6 months of placement in job

Nice To Haves

One (1) year of previous transport or related healthcare experience preferred
May require certifications based on hospital needs

Responsibilities

Provide safe and timely transport of patients, beds, oxygen, supplies, and equipment throughout the facility
Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and/or from beds or chairs to and/or from wheelchair or stretcher
Respond to STAR codes by transporting patient lift equipment and assisting nursing staff, as needed
Provide assistance to units by cleaning equipment and stocking supplies
Partner with a service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and solid decision-making capacities
Effectively prioritize and apply organization and flexibility to your work duties
