About The Position

At Rankin Physical Therapy, an H2 Health company, the Patient Coordinator bridges patient care with administrative coordination. This role is the first point of contact for patients and provides customer service while helping ensure smooth clinic operations. The position is part-time and based at the outpatient clinic at 7330 Martinsburg Pike, Shepherdstown, WV 25443. The Patient Coordinator coordinates appointments, verifies insurance, handles referrals, maintains accurate and confidential patient records, answers calls and inquiries, and supports front desk operations. The coordinator works with clinicians and administrative staff to improve the patient experience and helps maintain a welcoming, organized clinic environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Proficiency with office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Nice To Haves

Additional education in healthcare administration.
