About The Position

Practice Operations Management oversees the business and administrative operations of a medical practice. Patient Concierge is the first point of contact for patients and family members at South Bay Radiation Oncology Center. This position is responsible for greeting patients, confirming demographic and insurance information, answering phones, provider scheduling, as well as other duties as assigned. Customer service skills and attention to detail are important to this role's success.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as necessary
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • One year of medical office experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience accessing and updating an EMR system
  • Experience working in a busy, fast-paced medical office setting

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and families.
  • Answer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer files.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments.
  • Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Process requests for records from outside sources.
  • Scan data into document imaging software.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Perform any other functions as required by management.
