About The Position

The main purpose of this position is to provide non-emergency medical transportation for the Caroline County Health Department in a safe, professional, efficient and courteous manner.

Requirements

Six months of experience operating automotive vehicles transporting passengers, patients or clients.
Possess or obtain a Class C non-commercial driver’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
Successfully complete and maintain current certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, violence management and basic first aid training.
Provide the employer with a telephone number where they can be reached.
Subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.

Nice To Haves

Experience performing, recording, maintaining and submitting vehicle safety checks, operational logs and records.
Experience ensuring cleanliness, functionality and safety of a vehicle and its components.
Experience moving clients on wheelchair lifts into and out of the vehicle as well as positioning and securing patients and clients in vehicles.
Employees assigned duties which involve the operation of large passenger vehicles will be required to possess a driver’s license of the appropriate class valid in the State of Maryland.
Some positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the employee to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission.
